I  Training Objectives
This major is to train the person to master the basic theory and knowledge of civil engineering, to have the ability of civil engineering planing, designing, constructing, managing and scientific researching, to be a  application of advanced engineering and technical person who can do planning, designing, constructing, managing, supervising, investing and developing, teaching and scientific researching in the field of housing construction, roads and bridges.
II  Basic Requirement
The foreign students in this major mainly study the basic theory and knowledge of theoretical mechanics, mechanics of materials, structure mechanics, soil mechanics, and civil engineering construction, and to gain the training of professional Chinese, to master the skills of operating computer and internet, and to have the better ability of engineering designing, constructing, managing, and researching.
1．To master a certain knowledge of Chinese and understanding of the theory of Chinese culture.
2. To master the natural scientific basic knowledge related to this major solidly.
3. To be familiar with the construction of civil engineering principles, policies and regulations, and to master the major norms and standards of civil engineering design and construction.
4. To understand the forefront and developments of civil engineering disciplines, with a certain sense of innovation and pioneering spirit.

The characteristics of the major is bilingual teaching, teaching one or two courses in English each term, in order to train the students to be the compound talents with strong English, Chinese proficiency and professional practice.

The undergraduate major teaching method is in English, and the foreign students complete four years in our university and obtain corresponding credits, then can gain the degree certificate and diploma from Shenyang University of Technology.
